New managing editor 'thrilled' to join The Sun in Rhode Island

The Westerly (Rhode Island) Sun, the community’s daily newspaper since 1893, has welcomed Hope M. Hunt as managing editor of the paper and its related publications.

Sun Publisher Jody Boucher announced Hunt’s appointment to staff on Sept. 9 and Hunt, a Warwick resident, started a few days later, on Sept. 12.

Since then, Hunt has been working behind the scenes to get up to speed on production of the daily paper, as well as becoming familiar with Westerly and its neighboring Rhode Island communities of Charlestown, Richmond and Hopkinton, as well as Stonington and North Stonington, Connecticut, all within the Sun’s coverage area.
